Isaiah Vazquez Master’s Project

Driven by the aspiration to become a Professional Sports Photographer, Vazquez leveraged the World University Games as a practical workshop to experiment with planning and executing photography workflows.

For his master’s project, Isaiah Vazquez orchestrated a comprehensive Sports Photography Workshop in the lead-up to the World University Games held in Lake Placid, NY. Leveraging his teaching experience as an Instructional Assistant at the S.I. Newhouse School, Isaiah crafted a detailed, step-by-step guide aimed at helping the students build their skills in sports photography. The guide encompassed the intricacies of metadata input, filename creation, and the formulation of guidelines to promote visual storytelling of the events at the games.

Drawing upon his expertise acquired during an internship with NCAA Photos, Isaiah developed an innovative workflow for photographers. This method combined his pedagogical skills with advanced photo processing techniques, significantly improving the efficiency and quality of photographic content produced by the team.
