No matter what I have been doing in my life, I have always wanted to help people, be creative, and thoroughly enjoy my work. After separating from the Navy, I wanted to rekindle my creativity and focus on building a career that is meaningful and fulfilling. I got a job as an auto photographer that turned into a photo editor and post-production specialist. I enjoyed this work, but it was not meaningful or fulfilling. While it gave me great experience, I found myself longing for something different. I decided that I would go to graduate school to gain an education, accumulate experience, and build a network in the creative field. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Multimedia, Photography, and Design from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications where I have gained skills in both design and photography and been able to explore where I want to go in my career. I have always been passionate about the outdoors, performing arts, and community. I have spent a good portion of my life on the river or in the mountains, at concerts or local festivals; it is where I am truly happy. I would love to have a position that I thoroughly enjoy where I could combine some or all of those passions with the opportunity to help people while being creative. This might sound like a stretch, but I have confidence that I can find a position that is just right.
